Basecoat, Topcoat, Activator and Brush Saver

The Doonails Dip-Powernails are becoming more and more popular. Dip powder nails fall somewhere between a typical manicure and a fake acrylic nail.
The Doonails Dipping Powder Kit typically consist of several parts. In this entry, we will introduce the 4 primary components of the Doonails Dipping Powder Sets.

Primary components of the Doonails Dip Powder system are:

  1. Primer (Base Coat)
  2. Activator (Activator)
  3. Top Coat (Top Coat)
  4. Brush Saver (Brush Protector)

Why do these components play such an important role in the Doonails Dipping Powder system?

Basecoat can make your manicure last longer.

Think of it as double-sided tape for your nails. Basecoats have a force of cellulosic chemicals that make them "stick". They stick to the nails underneath and the polish on top to extend the manicure. Without this sticky, elastic surface for the pigment to adhere to, your manicure would come off much faster.

The Base Coat also prevents the polish from discoloring your nails.

A Base Coat is your best protection against staining. It forms a clear protective layer between the Powder Pigment and also the nail of the polish above it. With a darker color, it is especially important to use a Base Coat.
Important: If the Base Coat is omitted and the pigments are applied directly to the nail bed, the Dip Powder may not adhere to the nail as long.

The Activator is used to harden the sealer and base. It does this by combining the Base Powder and the color powder to harden the single layer.

The Activator reacts to the base layer and cures all layers of powder without the use of a UV/LED light by chemically combining with base and sealer powder. It additionally serves to ensure that the layers of Dipping Powder settle properly and create a shiny and smooth finish.

If the Activator is not used, the Dipping Powder will peel off easily and will not visually produce the desired smooth, glossy result.

The Top Coat seals your manicures with a top layer for a long lasting color result.

A good Top Coat does much more than make your nails shine. Think of the Top coat as a protective shield that is essential to any manicure or pedicure.
The Top Coat prevents UV rays from damaging the color and protects it from water and anything else outside that your hands frequently come in contact with.

The Top Coat is the finish for your nails that gives them protection and a beautiful shine.

Brush Saver

Brush Saver is essentially for cleaning brushes between and during application.

Brush Saver gently keeps a brush clean during application, cleaning and loosening unwanted product residue and materials. With the help of the Brush Saver, you prevent nail polish layers from hardening due to contamination during application and from being applied messily.

The Brush saver also extends the durability of your fluids and brushes.
