Haven't you always wanted to do a salon-quality manicure yourself at home? Well now you can! The Doonails Dip Powder Nail Kit gives you a professional manicure that you can apply without any previous experience. This will not only save you a lot of time, but also a lot of money.
Dip powder nails are the latest trend. Dip powder manicures are different from the manicures you typically see or know. Unlike other manicures, the method not only increases the glam factor of your nails, but also hugs and protects them while promising to last 4+ weeks.
The best part about the dip powder manicure is that it doesn't chip or split your nails like other manicure methods. Moreover, Doonails products do not contain any chemical substances that can harm your nails, on the contrary, they still strengthen and protect them. This is exactly the reason why Dip Powder manicure surpasses and outshines all the known nail modelling methods.
How do dip powder nails work?
Doonails dip nails are completely different from acrylic and gel nails. They do not require UV curing. You get the color by using a base coat, dipping your nails in colored powder, applying a curing coat, and then applying a glossy top coat.
How to apply the Dipping Powder
To perform a Dipping Powder manicure at home, you will need the following utensils, all of which are included in the kit.
- Cuticle pusher
- Base Coat, Top Coat and Activator
- Base Powder
- Various colour powders
Steps to a flawless manicure at home
- Prepare your nails
Clean your nails with a nail polish remover (if you have applied polish) and use a cuticle pusher to push back the cuticles. Polish and file your nails.
- Apply the base coat
Slowly apply the clear resin glue to your nails. Start at the point just above the cuticle and move towards the edge of the nail. Apply only one coat at a time.
- Apply the Base Powder
Dip your fingers (one at a time) into the powder container at a 45degree angle. Remove your finger and gently tap it to remove the extra powder. Let it dry for a second before removing the excess powder with your brush.
- Apply another coat of base coat and a colored powder
Apply another coat of base coat to the nail and dip it in the colored powder of your choice. Repeat the step if you want a thicker manicure.
- Apply the activator
Apply the activator to your nails and leave it on for 2 minutes.
Then repeat this process.
- Apply the top coat
Once you have used the activator, apply a layer of top coat.
When it has dried after 2 minutes, wash your hands with warm water.
Methods for removing dip powder nails
- Use a nail file to file off the shiny top coat. Do this thoroughly on each nail.
- Put each finger individually into a remover pad (available in our remover set).
- Now secure each pad with a remover clip and leave this on for 20 minutes. Once removed, the loosened residue can be carefully removed with the nail pusher.
- Repeat this procedure
- Afterwards remove the pad again and the Dip Powder comes off easily from the nail.
The Dipping Powder nails are strong and can withstand any everyday situation.
Practically no drying time. There is virtually no drying time between coats. Only the Activator and the Topcoat have a reaction time of two minutes. The Dipping Powder is also not sticky, unlike other products.
